She Was Sent to Kill Me on Candy AIa hunter and her unlikely target

What She Was Sent to Kill Me is about

Nobody expects Eli to survive the deadly game for long, and the hunter tasked with ending him is Delilah Kane. Yet as the game pushes her toward the kill, Eli keeps putting her safety ahead of his own escape.

Unlike the household and workplace setups that fill most of the library, this premise is a deadly game. Eli is the player everyone expects to fall first, and the hunter given the job of finishing him is Delilah Kane. The twist is in the relationship rather than the action: as the game pressures her to make the kill, Eli keeps choosing her safety over his own way out. Both are adults.

That reversal, a target protecting the person sent after him, is the hook, and it gives the series a tone closer to a tense two-hander than to the lighter flirtations elsewhere in our Everything Else category. Loyalty, danger and divided duty are the themes the setup promises. Candy gives it no library tags at all, so the premise is the only guide to its tone. The same character name, Delilah Kane, also appears in I Couldn't Say No To My Stepsister, a very different setup. With only Delilah Kane named in Candy's cast list, the data gives no detail about the game's other players or who runs it.

Episode guide

The game unfolds over 5 episodes, none reaching the two-minute mark. In the table below the free part stops after Episode 2, and the rest are paid.

Is She Was Sent to Kill Me free?

Partly: Eli's game starts with 2 free episodes out of 5. You can start Episode 1 straight away and reach Episode 2 by creating a free account; from Episode 3 the price is 12 tokens an episode, and the 3 paid ones take the full story to 36 tokens.

The price is the same as the other standard series around it, and well under the 90 tokens charged for Lena The Plug Stole My Boyfriend.

How explicit is it?

Heat 3/5 · Explicit: Nudity and sex scenes in the paid episodes, with the story taking much of the runtime.

It is an adult series despite the thriller premise: Heat 3, Explicit, with nudity and sex scenes in the paid episodes and the game itself taking much of the runtime. We have not rated She Was Sent to Kill Me ourselves; Explicit is the baseline we give public series until an editor does. The free episodes mostly set up Eli, Delilah and the job she was given, so they can make it look like a pure thriller. Candy gives it no tags, which says nothing about how much is shown, since tags only describe a setup. Both leads are fictional adults.

What each level of access gets you

The cheapest finish is unlocking the paid episodes with the 36 tokens they need. Premium, with 100 tokens a month from $3.99, only pays off if this is one of several series you plan to watch. The pricing page weighs those two routes against each other.

If you liked it: similar series

These picks match on category, heat and price rather than plot. Camp Rules, Our Exchange Student (adult characters) and My Girlfriend Paid for My Massage are baseline-heat series at 36 tokens, the last one a lighter couples premise; Lena The Plug Stole My Boyfriend is the creator-twin option at 90.

More like this: all Everything Else series.

Our verdict

She Was Sent to Kill Me is a gamble for an adult-series library: a premise built on danger and self-sacrifice, and no tags to say more about it. Its strength is a real dramatic hook, a target who protects his hunter. Its limit is that the game and its stakes take much of the runtime, so viewers who want adult scenes at the centre may prefer Our Host Is Riley Reid, the category's editor-rated Strong series, at 90 tokens.

Pick it if you want danger and divided loyalty rather than a household secret; none of the four similar picks below offers that. Skip it if you want adult scenes from the first episode. Episode 1 is free to anyone and Episode 2 to account holders, so try both and pay for the rest only if you want to know how the game ends for Eli and Delilah.

Best for: Viewers who want a survival-game plot with tension between two adults
